This award recognizes systems that have successfully complied with the Total Coliform Rule without a single violation for
60 consecutive months. In achieving this consistent level of compliance with the Total Coliform Rule, these systems are doing
an exceptional job of protecting public health.
Criteria
To receive this recognition, the public water system must these criteria:
- was an active public water system for each of the 60 consecutive months through the preceding December
- had no Total Coliform Rule violations during that 60-month period
In other words, to receive the 2002–2006 TCR award, a system must have been active and had no TCR violations from
January 2002 through December 2006.
