Class IV injection wells are generally banned by state and
federal statutes and rules. However, under TCEQ and EPA rules, a
Class IV well may be authorized for use in certain environmental
cleanup operations. If you think you qualify for use of a Class IV
well for authorized cleanup, you should schedule a meeting with
TCEQ to discuss the situation. Applications for Class IV wells will
