Camelot Landfill is an existing Type I Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) disposal facility owned and operated by the City of Farmers Branch, Texas.

Application Overview

The City of Farmers Branch has applied for a permit amendment to authorize a vertical and horizontal expansion of the Camelot Landfill. The amendment would:

  • increase the permitted area from 351 to 460 acres, of which 237 acres would be the waste disposal area;
  • revoke MSW Permit No. 946 and incorporate that 102.58 acre landfill property into MSW Permit No. 1312B; and
  • raise the permitted height of the landfill from 523 to 675 feet above mean sea level (approximately 225 feet above the surrounding land surface). The total volume available for waste disposal would be 53.2 million cubic yards.
