Public Notice Requirements for Air Title V Permit Applications

  • The permit reviewer will send you the public notice package.
    • Based on the information you have given us in your application, we will prepare a Notice of Draft Federal Operating Permit. This notice is customized based on identifying information of the company.

    • To customize your notice properly, we rely on information that you provide in your application. It is important to review the notice prior to the publishing, to ensure there are no errors.

    Using the information that we have sent you, publish the public notice in an acceptable newspaper (as outlined in the instructions) in each required language. Determine if publishing in an alternative language is necessary in "Publishing Air Notices in Alternative Languages."

    Do not try to develop your own version of this notice.

    In this notice, you must use the wording that we provide you.  We will provide you with this wording in electronic format on request.

    • The notice must be published with 30 days from the date of the letter.
    • You must fax a copy of the tear sheet to the permit reviewer within 2 business days of publishing.
    • You must complete an Air Permit Public Notice Verification Form TCEQ-20244 PDF or DOC Doc (combines previous PN1 and PN2 forms), an affidavit of publication, and an alternative language affidavit of publication (if applicable).
