Proposed Standard Permit for Oil and Gas Stakeholder Group

The Standard Permit for Oil and Gas Stakeholder Group was formed for the purpose of receiving comments and suggestions on a new proposed standard permit replacing the existing Title 30 Texas Administrative Code Section 116.620 (30 TAC 116.620), Installation and/or Modification of Oil and Gas Facilities.

About This Advisory Group

The Air Permits Division is seeking comments on the proposed oil and gas standard permit which includes specifications and limitations for typical equipment types, normal operation, and expected maintenance, start up and shutdown activities for the most common oil and gas facilities throughout Texas. The proposed oil and gas standard permit has been developed considering current control requirements, emissions which are protective, and operational flexibility.

Participating in This Stakeholder Group

The Standard Permit for Oil and Gas Stakeholder Group is open to the public; anyone who wishes to join may attend the meetings. We anticipate that the group will include representation from the oil and gas production industry, consultants associated with the oil and gas industry, environmental groups, public interest groups, and individual citizens.
