TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $522,457

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $467,394 against 32 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one industrial wastewater discharge, one agriculture, six air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, two municipal wastewater discharge, eleven petroleum storage tank, seven public water system, and one water quality.

A default order was issued in the following category: one petroleum storage tank.

In addition, on May 9, the executive director approved a total of 31 penalties, totaling $55,063.
