Answers to questions that companies may raise during online registration renewal.

For All Registration Programs

After reviewing these questions and their answers, please return to the links above for program-specific FAQs.

Who is eligible to renew online?
Any company whose registration is current and will expire within 60 days may renew. Also, any registrant whose registration has been expired for less than 30 days may renew. The TCEQ mails renewal notices to each registrant approximately 60 days before the expiration date. The registrant will use the company’s registration number and expiration date to log in to the application. Be sure to use CAPITAL letters when entering your registration number.

Can I renew online at any time?
Yes, the system is available seven days per week, 24 hours per day, except for routine maintenance down time.

Who is authorized to renew my company registration online?
Anyone who has the authority to represent the company may complete the online renewal application. This information will be requested during online renewal.

How does online renewal work?
It’s simple. First, log in by entering the registration number and registration expiration date. If you are eligible, you will be given an option to renew at this time. Next, answer the questions, review your information, and then proceed to the payment page. Finally, after supplying payment information, review and print the transaction receipt. The TCEQ will mail the renewed registration to the registrant.

How can I find my registration number and expiration date?
Search our database to retrieve licensing records for company registrations under the TCEQ’s programs for occupational licensing and registration. Please make sure to enter all search terms, such as surnames and company names, correctly.

If I renew online, will I get my license/registration faster than if I renew by mail?
Yes. Online renewal applications and payments are submitted daily to the TCEQ, eliminating time for mailing and payment processing time. The TCEQ is currently processing all renewals within 45 days from the time all renewal requirements are met and payment is processed.

How long will my renewal period be?
Registrations are valid for two years, however; registrations issued after 01/01/2008 will be valid for three years.

Can I change my name as part of online renewal?
No, name changes must be conveyed in writing to the TCEQ, providing the required documentation.

Can I change my address as part of online renewal?
Yes. Please validate the address through the United States Postal Service web site to ensure that the address provided meets the current format and standards. Enter your address and it will provide you with the correct format. Then, simply enter the address in address line 1 the way the USPS displayed it. Your registration certificate and renewal forms will be mailed to the address you enter.

Can I print a copy of my registration renewal information?
Yes, a printer-friendly version of the renewal information is available.

What options are available for online payment?
Payments can be made using credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) or ACH electronic payment.

What information do I need to make a payment online?
Registration renewals require a valid credit card number, expiration date, billing name, and billing address. For electronic payments, a valid bank routing number and savings or checking account number are required.

Can I print a payment receipt after completing the online renewal?
Yes.

Can I use my printed payment receipt as a temporary registration?
No, your registration renewal is not issued until all renewal requirements are met. The printed payment receipt only verifies payment for your renewal.

Who do I contact if I have technical difficulties in navigating the site?

What happens if my company was bought or sold, or the name has changed since the last renewal?
