The TMDL Program works to restore Texas water bodies that have limited quality in relation to one or more of their assigned uses, such as recreation, fishing, or a healthy aquatic environment.

This page provides information about projects of the TMDL Program. You can look for a project by county, pollutant or adverse condition, major river or coastal basin, or project name. You may also choose to view just those projects that are completed, along with an explanation of how TMDLs are counted.

Some of the program’s projects develop total maximum daily loads, which determine specific environmental targets necessary to restore limited uses. In addition, the TMDL Program manages some projects that determine whether a TMDL is required.
