Background and
Goals
In Peach Creek (Segment 1804B) in the Guadalupe River Basin,
water quality testing found concentrations of bacteria that may
pose a health risk for swimmers. Swimming and other forms of
recreation in which people come into direct contact with the water
are called contact recreation in the states
standards for water quality.
The goal of this project is to reduce bacteria concentrations in
Peach Creek to within acceptable risk levels for contact
recreation.
