Texas Clean Rivers Program: Stakeholder Information

Program partners and statewide stakeholder involvement

About Clean Rivers Program Stakeholder Involvement

The Clean Rivers Program is based on a strong stakeholder component. Each of the 15 partner agencies involved in managing the CRP in its basin maintains a steering committee that meets regularly to address the water quality issues and priorities for its basin.

If you would like to get involved and attend any of the meetings, or if you just want some information about water quality in your basin, contact the Partner Agency for the basin you live in. If you are unsure of which basin you live in, you can view the individual basins in the Atlas of Texas Surface Waters or e-mail crp@tceq.state.tx.us with your location (city and county).

In addition to the regular basin steering committee meetings, the TCEQ conducts statewide stakeholder meetings to exchange information and ideas on the focus of the program and receive feedback about recent activities. These meetings provide allow stakeholders and state agencies to discuss water quality issues and prioritize resources to obtain better information on water quality across the state.

If you are interested in water quality in Texas and how it is monitored, you are welcome to attend these meetings. The meetings are held as needed to address significant issues facing this program, and notices will be posted on this web page well in advance of future meetings.
