Ozone E-Mail Alerts

TCEQ provides free e-mail alerts for Ozone forecasts and Ozone warnings for several metropolitan areas throughout Texas.

Ozone forecasts are made for each day of the ozone season for each forecast area. Ozone warning e-mail notifications are generated automatically about 20 minutes after the hour when the high ozone was measured for that particular area.

Signing up is easy, just follow the instructions provided below.

To receive ozone warnings and/or forecasts by e-mail:

Action by:
1. Subscriber: Click on one of the metropolitan areas areas below.
    Listserv: Your browser will open an e-mail window with the "To:" field filled in and the subject and message areas blank. If you cannot send e-mail through your browser, please see the Ozone E-mail Alerts Trouble section.
 
2. Subscriber: Send this e-mail leaving the subject line and message area blank.
    Listserv: The listserv replies to your e-mail address. Check your e-mail box; the listserv is trying to contact you for confirmation.
 
3. Subscriber:
To confirm that you do want to join, simply reply to this message. Make sure that your message is addressed to lyris-confirm-######@listserv.tceq.state.tx.us
Again, send this e-mail leaving the subject line and message area blank.
    Listserv: The listserv generates a final e-mail indicating you have been successfully subscribed.
