The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) today approved
penalties totaling $505,368 against 89 regulated entities for
violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement
categories: Two agricultural, 14 air quality, two dry cleaner, one
Edwards Aquifer, 23 field citations, one industrial and hazardous
waste, one industrial waste discharge, two licensed irrigators,
five multi-media, eight municipal waste discharge, one on-site
sewage facility, nine petroleum storage tank, five public water
system, one underground injection control, eight water quality, and
one water right. In addition, default orders were issued for the
following categories: one dry cleaner, one multi-media, and three
petroleum storage tank.
The TCEQ's next agenda meeting is scheduled for September 10,
