The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved
penalties totaling $564,227 against 69 regulated entities for
violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement
categories: one agricultural, 16 air quality, three field
citations, one industrial hazardous waste, one industrial waste
discharge, one licensed irrigators, two multi-media, two municipal
solid waste, 15 municipal waste discharge, six petroleum storage
tank, and 14 public water system. In addition, there were default
orders as follows: one air, one multi-media, one municipal solid
waste, three petroleum storage tank, one public water system.
The TCEQ's next agenda meeting is scheduled for May 7. Agenda
