What is "Transitions?"
This program is for recent college graduates and is designed for
people who are transitioning from college to work. Applications are
solicited to form a pool of candidates who have a degree but little
or no experience. The pool is used to fill TCEQ entry-level
jobs.
What does the TCEQ do?
The TCEQ is one of the most comprehensive state environmental
agencies in the nation. Here are some of the agency's many
functions:
- Air Quality Modeling/Permits
- Infrastructure Review and Approval
- Public Water System Oversight
- Groundwater Remediation
- Wastewater Permitting
- Water Quality Compliance Review
- Statewide Water Quality Monitoring

You may submit a faxed copy of the application to
512-239-0111, but the original hardcopy with signature must be sent
to the TCEQ's Human Resources and Staff Development Division for
the application to be valid.
Employment Information
TCEQ staff will verify that eligibility requirements are met and
will refer qualified candidates to hiring authority. Hiring
authority will interview candidates and make final selections or
authorize the TCEQ to select employees for placements.
